CIBSE’s Health, Wellbeing & IEQ Conference takes place on 30 September at CIBSE HQ, London, opening with a keynote from Professor Sarah West.
The programme runs across four sessions:
- Indoor Air Quality in a Changing Regulatory Landscape — updates from the CIBSE Air Quality subcommittee on guidance and best practice, covering mechanical, natural and hybrid ventilation, IAQ monitoring and performance-based compliance, with commercial and residential case studies.
- Healthy Buildings for Net Zero — led by the CIBSE Health and Wellbeing subcommittee, previewing the forthcoming Technical Memorandum on Health, Wellbeing and Net Zero Carbon in Buildings, with case studies on adaptive comfort, low-carbon cooling and overheating risk in residential buildings.
- Retrofitting for Health and Wellbeing — moisture management, ventilation, thermal comfort and acoustic performance in retrofit, including how to avoid unintended consequences, alignment with building safety and competence, and the role of post-occupancy evaluation.
- Designing Inclusive Environments: From Standards to Lived Experience — a review of current inclusive design guidance and its limitations, the intersection with IEQ and net-zero strategy, and co-design and user engagement approaches.
