Building Maintenance (reactive), Air Conditioning, and Building Maintenance (planned) are currently the most in-demand solutions among the UK’s FM professionals, according to our exclusive research.
The findings have been revealed in the run up to this month’s FM Forum, which takes place on January 26th and 27th in London.
FM professionals registering to attend are asked which solutions they needed to invest in during 2026 and beyond.
Fare/Safety Management and Asset Management rounded out the Top 5.
The top solutions have changed very slightly compared to 6 months ago, when Building Maintenance (Reactive), Fire Safety and Asset Management were the most in-demand technology solutions.
Sarah Beall, Managing Director, Forum Events & Media, said: “What this data clearly shows is that FM priorities for 2026 are being driven by a need for resilience, reliability and risk reduction,” said Sarah Beall, Managing Director at Forum Events & Media. “Reactive and planned building maintenance continue to dominate, but the rise of air conditioning, fire and safety management reflects the pressure FM teams are under to keep buildings safe, compliant and operational in increasingly complex environments. What’s particularly interesting is how closely these priorities align with wider conversations around asset longevity, energy performance and occupant wellbeing. As we approach this year’s first FM Forum, it’s clear that FM professionals are looking for practical, proven solutions that deliver immediate operational value as well as long-term strategic benefit.”
